Yes, 100% legal in Belgium! Since April 17, 2025, approved plug & play solar panels have been officially permitted.
The main rules:
Synergrid C10/26 — The Marstek Venus E is on the official Synergrid list, meaning it fully complies with the Belgian standard.
Do I need an electrician for the installation?
No! Our Plug & Play Marstek batteries are designed for DIYers. You just plug them into a standard wall outlet and you’re good to go. No permits or electricians needed.
What is the maximum number of batteries I can connect?
In Belgium, there is no legal limit to the total number of plug & play sets you can connect. So, you can install multiple sets and expand whenever you wish.
The only rule that applies is registration with Fluvius: as soon as your total inverter power exceeds 800W (i.e., from the 2nd set onwards), you are obliged to register your installation with Fluvius. This is a simple online procedure and not an issue.
In summary:
- 1 set (800W or less) → no registration needed, just plug in and you're done
- Multiple sets (total > 800W) → registration with Fluvius mandatory, but no other limit on the number
