Plug & Play C10/11 update: P1 port use allowed from October 15, 2025

Plug & Play update C10/11: Gebruik van de P1-poort toegestaan vanaf 15 oktober 2025

Until now, regulation C10/11 required battery storage production facilities to use a specific energy or power management system.
The update of 15.10.2025 will change this:

For “small production installations” (such as Plug & Play systems), the P1 port of the digital meter may also be used for data transmission and power management, in addition to the EnFluRi sensor.

Why is this important?

This adjustment represents a big step forward for ease of use and accessibility.
Thanks to the P1 port, Plug & Play batteries can communicate more easily with the digital meter, ensuring:

  • Better energy measurement and control between solar panel, battery, and consumption
  • Easier installation, without additional hardware or complex configuration
  • Faster integration of smart energy storage in every household

For many users, this means that Plug & Play batteries will become even simpler and more efficient, without technical modifications to the existing installation.

In summary

From October 15, 2025, the P1 port will be officially permitted for the management of small solar energy systems and batteries.
An important step towards greater compatibility, simplicity, and self-consumption, entirely in line with PluginSolarEnergy's vision to make solar energy accessible to everyone.
