Marstek Venus E officially approved in Belgium as a homologated home battery
Flanders, June 18, 2025 – The Belgian energy market welcomes a new player. On August 13, the Marstek Venus E was officially recognized as a homologated home battery. This approval comes from Synergrid, the organization responsible for certifying energy applications in Belgium. From that moment on, the Venus E will be listed on the official list of approved home batteries.
Thanks to this recognition, PlugInSolarEnergy can also offer the innovative model to Belgian households. This is an important step towards a more sustainable and self-sufficient energy supply.
Performance and reliability in one package
The Venus E is Marstek's flagship product. The device combines high energy efficiency with smart control and robust storage capacity. The integrated inverter, broad compatibility with both new and existing solar panel installations, and software that responds to dynamic energy tariffs make it a future-proof solution for those who want to optimize their energy consumption.
Official approval by Synergrid
The homologation confirms that the Venus E meets all Belgian requirements in terms of safety, grid connection, and technical specifications. After successful introductions in the Netherlands, Germany, and France, Belgium can now also benefit from this affordable and powerful home battery.
The built-in emergency power supply of 2.5 kW makes it possible to use even heavy appliances during power outages. This way, the Venus E contributes to a higher degree of energy independence.
In Belgium, the battery works with the CT002 CT meter, which requires basic knowledge of electricity. Because Fluvius does not yet give permission to read out the smart meter directly, something that is already possible in many other countries, the battery is controlled via a CT clamp. For plug-and-play home batteries in Belgium, no AREI inspection is required, which reduces installation costs by about €150.
